Volunteer Opportunities

PTC Needs You! Whether you only have a few hours or can volunteer on a regular basis, PTC is in need of assistance in the following areas:
- Newsletter. Write an article showcasing a Trail-related event, theme or favorite location. Editors are also needed.
- Photography. Help build our PHNST database of digital and hard copy photos by submitting shots of the Potomac, hikers, bicyclists, kayakers, equestrians, historic sites and events.
- Fundraising. Help raise much-needed funds in support of the Potomac Heritage Trail.
- Events. Staff the PHNST / PTC booth at local festivals and conferences. Plan and lead a hike, canoe/kayak trip, horseback ride, bike trip, or birding excursion through your favorite spot in the Corridor.
- Public Policy. Research critical issues and/or write letters to legislators and other decision-makers in support of the Potomac Heritage Trail.
